Oh yeah, east coast Singapore. Beats me how people say they FISH there!!! 

And, while talk of the Third Link has been temporarily shelved, it's not a far shot to say that it'll come up again. If it goes through, you'll see that part of Johor/Singapore around Pasir Gudang increase in industrial traffic even more.

I'd stick to the estates north of JB (I think Setia have a couple), or do what all the happenin' people are doing and move west, Nusajaya way!

Yes you can, you have to pay for it and install a plugin called Pamfax. I have used it to fax documents to Malaysia from the Netherlands during our approval proces.

Stuurman, you are a Star!  I'll check that out.

We used to use a Virtual fax number in Singapore which worked really well.  All you needed was an internet connection and some fax modem I think.  Presumably the modem is still in the bowels of my PC somewhere.

The problem I have is that one of my bank accounts requires fax instructions, and I don't think we shall have a landline in Penang initially.  So skype fax might be the solution.  I know we could just print off an instruction and go to a shop to fax it, but then there's the security issue, isn't there.

Anybody checked out https://www.ephonecards.com.au/default.aspx when in Australia? I always use them when there and find them cheap and reliable.
