hi,

What to do on Boxing Day?

Happy birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you
Happy birthday dear Jesus
Happy birthday to you

Cheers
JJ

When you come to think about it those wise men were pretty smart business men. Gold, myrrh and frankincense, all commodities. They didn't bring collateralised debt obligations, or structured deposits from the Bank of Herod.

There's some debate as to the word, "frankincense." Some parties feel that in translation from aramaic it is in fact "frank and cents, a reference to a no-nonsense business weekly of the early Judea-Roman period.  ;)

Certainly, Christianity went on to become one of the most powerful and wealthy organisations the world has ever, ever known.

If anyone comes across any copies of "frank and cents" please post in the World Economic and Property thread.

PS : The site received a "Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year" email from Cindy at MM2H central. That was very nice of her, and much appreciated.

It's not drinking too much sherry that's the problem, Papaya, it's eating too many nuts.  I certainly got well and truly pistachioed last night. :-[

Well Bob you have me confused, I thought Nether Wallop was a way of getting more speed from your horse. N.b Cavalrymen are known as Donkey Wallopers.

Don't you think Mary has a striking resemblance to Prunella Scales as Cybil in Fawlty Towers?

For the record I didn't see the Great Escape this Christmas, which would be the first time since the Anzio landings, of course it was probably on BBCE which those numpties at Astro pulled.

p.s. Never, never eat nuts with a curry for obvious ballistic reasons.
Don't just cut and paste, say what you think!

A belated Merry Christmas to All!!
Happy Boxing Day...and A Very Happy New Year!! :)

Couldn't get on line as sectors of compu were corrupted.
New compu and the same antiviral kept blocking this site for 2 days even after I signed in! Now seems ok  :)

hi, BB,

Glad that you're back and I hope that the computer problems are resolved. I've been getting very iffy Celcom connections over this Christmas period but it seemed to settle down yesterday, and so far today it's smooth and relatively fast.

We've had dodgy internet connection over Christmas too - system overload I think as the island is jam-packed with tourists.  Wish they'd all got home <humbug  >:(>
