AmBank Interest Rate Offer 27/12/09 - 17/01/10

AmBank is offering the Am50 Plus FD with 2.90% for 15 months and 3.70% for 48 months. That's for new funds or top-up RM5,000.

They also have the Top Rate FD at 2.45% for 4 months.

The Top Rate promo will end 17/01/10.

Just my opinion but interest rates will be hitting 4-5% on NZD and A$ on standard FD's as we climb out of the depression. Leveraged products will give you more. This is a paltry effort by Ambank to lock you into low interest rates for 5 years. This really is the worst time to do this.
