Hi BB

Where and what is PSC? I also look forward to the new Tesco in Tanjung Tokong. Another rumor is that we will get a Cold Storage in the Boon Siew development here in Tanjung Bungah. They are talking about a small mall opposite TAR college. :)

Paul, that's Pg. Swimming Club. Yes, there is turkey for both lunch set and dinner buffet  :)
It says in the NovDec magazine for the Christmas Day Set Lunch - Roast Tom Turkey "traditional" with Chestnut stuffing or Grilled Salmon fillet with Butter & Lime sauce; and
the Christmas Day Buffet - Carvery: Roast Turkey with stuffing plus 10 Hot Dishes eg roast leg of lamb, roasted beef, fish, prawns, chicken pie etc ....

Wow, Cold Storage and a mall! Will be closer & more convenient for those living in Tg Bungah area!

I think it was last year or maybe the year before that someone posted the price of turkey at Tesco.
Any takers for this year? :) :) :)

Hi Donohue,

Last Christmas a friend ordered a roasted turkey from Cold Storage, not a typical North American size bird and about 20 of us had a slice each. I remembered he said it was RM300+.
Just found this :

Someone told me that the drink prices in PSC are very good.  Would be interested to know what they charge for beer and wine in there, if anyone knows.

Can you just join up - or is this one of these Clubs where you have to be nominated by someone?

I'm not complaining when I read this news:
http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/cbc/091213/canada/canada_edmonton_calgary_frigid_weather

Minus 40 degrees C ?  :o  Cannot imagine that.  I just skyped with a Scottish friend in KL who's going back "home" this week and minus 2 and sleeting there - that sounded bad enough for me.

Hi Papaya,

Alas the prices have skyrocketed. :o

Tiger beer at is RM 5.90 small bottle
Passable Yellow Tail Chardonnay RM 8.00

The new caterer is very good for local and western cuisine.

You have to be nominated to join. When you are next in Penang we will give you the tour and buy you dinner.

You are a love  ;)

I take it you are being sarcastic about the prices?  As I recall, the standard price for a glass of white wine (some passable, some not) around Batu Ferringhi was about RM 14 or 15.

And Yellow Tail Chardonnay  :D - now you're talking.
