Travelling outside Malaysia once approved for MM2H

We are an Australian couple that are about to start proceedings for the MM2H program.Our plan is to spend 6 months in Australia and 6 months in Penang. We intend to travel outside Malaysia during our 6 months period of Malaysian residency. Does anybody know if we will qualify for travel insurance from a Malaysian company for travel outside of Malaysia.

Hi, our MM2H med hospitalization ins covers only M'sia and not elsewhere. So we get the yearly travel ins worldwide coverage which works out to be quite reasonable when compared to just getting it every time we travel. If you travel in Asia it's a cheaper coverage. If it includes developed countries eg USA, Canada then it's the more costly one, but still very reasonable. Both types of ins are from AIA.
