I'll go and take an actual photo of the car for you (its only about 100 yards away) and note down the telephone number in the window

Hi, baldeaglecyp, I'll check out Mudah. Last week a merc was advertised in Penang but it had gone in a couple of hours. It was a nice looking car as well. Price RM7,900 neg.

Hi Davita,
All we know is that it was a sliding scale....but no one at the Customs dept (or elsewhere) will tell you how it works, and it has been mentioned on the forum that the decision on amount owed if any on sale will be determined by the Officer concerned on the day....and that will be affected by side of the bed exited etc!!!!

the only other way to import a car in without paying tax is under the PROGRAMME TO ENCOURAGE MALAYSIAN CITIZENS WITH EXPERTISE RESIDING OVERSEAS TO RETURN TO MALAYSIA.
