Medical Insurance Validity?

How long the Medical Insurance to be valid?

Assuming that the we are going to have visa for 10 years, should we present ten years valid  Medical Insurance?

hi,

In the applications that I've known about the insurance was taken out just prior to getting the visa in the passport, and was valid for 12 months.

In my case, and the others, when the visa was renewed no-one at Immigration checked to see if the insurance had been maintained continuously.
