In an effort to payback may I offer the following....

We took the NICE coach from the old KL railway station (Boy did that bring back memories).

The ride was very pleasant...seats were better than domestic aeroplanes...it left on time and cost MR75 each.
 
The highway felt as if I was in LA and the scenery....bland.
Next time I'll take the old road which I drove from Butterworth to Singapore in 2 days in 1958 +- Then I was given a Sten-Gun as protection but no-one taught me how to fire it. But it was a more exciting scenic trip.

We had a small snack and drinks from the onboard hostess.
TIP: Best go to the toilet before departure because the first stop is 2:40 mins after departure. I witnessed a few wigglers.

We arrived 4:30 hrs later in Penang. I know not where but surmised it is near Jeletung. The taxi to our Gurney Drive hotel cost MR 30 but the meter said MR11.
I paid and added a tip, but already feeling unhappy.

More observations later unless I get banned for obsenities.

Hi Davita, Nice coaches has got 3 price level and yours the most expensive. It stops at Sungai Nibong, not far from airport and I believe the last plane into Penang is just before midnight. Things could have changed though
