What letter of Renewal Approval, Scott?

I didn't get one - only the Resit Rasmi and no mention of the 10 yr under MM2H? :o
The only proof is the "Stamp' on the Visa that mentioned MM2H (see above)...that's all ???
Maybe things are done differently here in Pg? Any one who did the Renewal in Pg - did you get the Letter of Renewal Approval?
That's wierd.....we didn't get one.

hi, BB,

I got one when I renewed at Putrajaya a few weeks ago. They were "pleased to inform me" just as I was very pleased to be informed, especially about the 10-year period. I had to sign for receipt of it.

It's a nice letter and I like it.   ~14~

What's a "Resit Rasmi" as, maybe, I didn't get one of these.

BTW : There wasn't any change in the Stamp from 5 years ago. It said then, "Permitted to enter and remain in West Malaysia and Sabah until dd/mm/yy. Any form of employment is strictly prohibited. MALAYSIA MY SECOND HOME PROGRAMME," and that's what it says now.

Scott, the Resit Rasmi is receipt for the amount we paid for the visa, the Resit No. is also stamped on the visa page in our passport.
When I called in the morning before we went to Immig Office the Officer checked our files and said we have the 10 year visa. I guess it must be in the record that they keep.
I emailed MoT just now about not receiving the Letter of Renewal Approval for the next 10 yrs and see what reply I get.
I think Pg Immig might be a little behind in some procedures, like when we got the 5 yr MM2H visa page and with subsequent 'extensions' the Stamps in the visa pages had been SHP and not MM2H.
HMmm, even the New Stamp is different here from the Old one we used to get!!
[Old Condition: Permitted to enter and remain in West Malaysia and Sabah until ...D/M/Y
New Condition: Pass extended on the condition that the holder does not remain in West Malaysia and Sabah after  D/M/Yr. Any form of employment is strictly prohibited - Malaysia My Second Home.]

It would be nice to get the letter :)

hi, BB,

Thanks. I have the Resit Rasmi. And also have the receipt number and amount paid on the top right-hand side of the visa. Funny, I never noticed before.

Also it's the same scary photo that I used 5 years ago. It was taken by a street-photographer with a shaky booth, and even shakier hands, outside the Ipoh Immigration office. I've always wished he'd had the foresight to put up a mirror. And that I'd had the foresight to brush my hair, straighten the wobbly glasses, and wipe-off a very beetroot face on a very hot tropical day.

I wonder if I can exchange the "dishevelled bag-guy fell in roadside drain" look for something a bit more dignified, and swop photos for the next renewal?

Hehe, the same photos in our Visa pages have shrunk this time - smaller than the previous pages and blurry. Maybe it will shrink further until it's impossible to recognize then they'll want us to have a new photo  ;D
