Let's Talk PORT DICKSON

Another place in our top places to check out, though we don't really know too much about it.  Some retired friends visited there a couple of years ago and said it was fab.  I also know that it has a pretty superb looking marina there.  (We like boating.)

So.... what do you like about it?  Is it a good place for a couple of early retirees?  Other couples living there?  MM2Hers?

I just came back from Port Dickson, my husband and I have just bought a house there, if you like life without the hassle of the town it's really perfect.

Week-days it's quiet and week-ends the beaches are crowded. There are no huge shopping complex but you can find almost everything around PD, otherwise Seremban is nearby and there you can find everything. Life is also cheaper than KL or Penang.

A+ is that KLIA Airport is only 45 minutes drive.

 Well....there are many many things to say about PD, if you want to know more you can e-mail me your question and I will try to tell you the bit I know about PD.

In resume....we love PD and we are longing to move there for good in 11 month

I have an apartment in PD but I rarely have the time to actually go down there (living in KL). PD was supposed to take off many years back. However, the JE virus outbreak in 1999 halted development and the town went back to becoming as it was before.

Its a popular destination for locals since the 60s... for the same reasons as you, cheap place, and within 2 hrs from KL!
