EMPLOYING PEOPLE
« on: August 13, 2008, 11:55:30 PM »
Further to a thread in 2007:
1                  "If you are employing locals, you do not need to pay any tax or fee to the government. However you need to submit returns to the Ministry of Human Resources and pay Employment Provident Funds and SOCSO."
2                   "Almost impossible to get a local house maid. Average pay for driver (in KL) RM1,500 a month"

Question:

1      What percentage of wages, if employing locals, is the Employment Provident Fund and SOCSO?
2       Is it still impossible to get a local house maid even if willing to pay RM1500 per month or more?  (I would prefer to employ locals - if possible to find them)
