Hi Guys & Dolls, Just received an announcement from my agents that some rules have changed for applicants after 31 March 2009. Anyone submitting their application after 31 March 2009 can only take RM 50000 from their FD of RM150000 after 1 year. They must leave RM 100000 in bank. This is just one of the changes affecting Above 50 yearolds.

To put this into a perspective. I applied a few years ago when the FD for over 50's was RM100,000. At that time withdrawal for house purchase hadn't been introduced. When it was introduced, I asked MoTour if I could withdraw any money. The answer was no. Maybe others got different answers?

Hence I've had RM100,000 in FD all along. I imagine that I could make an appeal etc. etc. But I'm not interested.

Hey Fizzy

Missed your posting. Did think it was quite nice that my agent made me aware of the changes, they sent the same layout as your attachment. Not as quickly as you posted it though. We did get our application in 2 weeks prior to changes taking effect. Really don't know to what extent it will effect us.
