Financial Criteria
« on: June 01, 2007, 12:12:25 PM »
To re-cap on Financial Criteria.

At the MM2H Penang symposium in March new guidelines were stated as follows:

Below 50 require RM500,000 in cash deposits.

Above 50, with monthly income of RM10,000 and over, require RM200,000 in cash deposits.

Above 50, without monthly income, require RM350,000 in cash deposits.

These are minimum requirements at the application stage, so would obviously include the cash that's going to be used for the FD.

If you want to check out the full discussion on this, it's under the "sufficient funds" topic on the Applications Board.

The above, decided in March 2007, did not appear on the motour site (and it's still not there on the new site), and is not in the reply given by motour to emails of the 23rd, 24th. and 28th. of April 2007. Maybe, in some weird way, motour doesn't want to let applicants know the minimum so that applicants will assume a maximum.

If you're thinking of applying this further highlights the need to check around all the forums and other sources to get a picture of what is currently what.

regards, Scott
