Non-English Sites
« on: March 15, 2009, 06:13:15 PM »
I don't know if this post belongs here or not, but I am trying anyway. I have been reading the post on this site since I applied for the MM2H program 2 years ago. The main reason I read this site is that it is in English. Even though most of the people posting here are from the UK or Australia and that many of the topics do not relate to me, I find it very interesting and helpful. I do not have any MM2H friends from English speaking countries, mostly locals and Japanese retirees. Speaking with my Japanese friends I realize they know nothing of the changes to the program and seem to be unaware of where to go for information. I have referred them to this site, but they cannot read English very well. I was wondering if there are sites like this for other non English speaking MM2H'rs. I guess we are very lucky to have this site for information and assistance.

hi, Steveso,

I've made your post into a new topic, and I'll move it later to "About this Site."

You've mentioned about other sites in other languages. I've often thought about this, and I haven't seen any mentioned here or on alloexpat, and we're the only 2 sites with independent MM2H boards. I've often thought that this site needs multi-language versions but how to?

It's a topic that hasn't been addressed. I guess non-English speaking my2homers need to get together and create their own websites. Or get together and have an up-date evening with one member who reads English picking up the news from here.

regards, Scott

I wonder if your non-English speaking friends can google in their native language.
