MoTour Site : Application Tracking Link
« on: March 22, 2010, 12:46:37 AM »
Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this query but does anyone know what has happened to the link on the Motour website which allows MM2H applicants to access the progress of their MM2H applications?

hi, jac,

There's an Application Status menu link amongst the other items on the front page banner. Don't know if it still works.  :P

The tab still seems to be there - and they've still got that funny name on the right-hand side as an example (the 2nd name of course) he he.  The web designer must have had a great laugh about that.  I guess no-one has told MoTour.

Thanks guys but each time I try the link a message appears to the effect that it 'seems to be broken'.

Not sure if the problem lies with the website or from this end.

Try getting rid of the cookies. Start the Internet Explorer, Go to Tools -> Internet Options, press the Delete Cookies button. When finished, also on the same screen press the Delete Files button. I would re-boot and then go to the MM2H site.

Yes, the application status feature is working. In fact, we just got the good news that our application has been approved by checking the site. We were expecting the news when we were in Malaysia last month, but it didnt happen. Well, its better late than never, but it also means that, we have to make another trip to Malaysia within the next 6 months. Hey folks, Penang island is going to get more crowded with our arrival. Just dont jack up the real estate prices before we land. :) See you folks around...:) cheers! Oh, by the way, anyone knows how long after the approval status was shown on the website, did you receive the conditional letter? I hope it didnt take another 1 month.......): :(

Hi guys,

I followed the 'delete cookies' instruction and was then able to access the application status link so thanks again for invaluable help.

Bachatakahuna congratulations on your successful application - you must be delighted! Can I ask how long you waited from submission to receiving confirmation your application had been approved. Is it still 8-10 weeks to process applications?

We submitted our information back in Nov but it seems that our agent (real estate developer's office) didnt submit till Jan 4th as stamped on the receipt. So its roughly about 10 to 12 weeks depending on if you counted working days or calendar days. So far my dealings with the MM2H office has been most pleasant especially Cindy Lim. Now we are waiting for the conditional letter from MM2H and hopefully the rest will be smooth when we show up for the visa. Cheers!

Congratulations!!  ~50~

We went through an agent.  We saw the approval status on the website first, then a couple of days later the agent sent us a scanned copy of the conditional approval letter.  We printed the scanned letter out in colour and that served okay for getting our FDs done, insurance, police check, etc.

Yup - Penang is going to be full of MM2Hers I think - the more the merrier.

From the timing of your application Bachatakahuna it should not be too long before we hear about ours.

Congratulations Bachatakahuna ~14~ O0
Soon 2HMers will be bumping into one another in the malls and streets of Pg Island  :D
No wonder the Pg CM is talking about increasing the Island's land bank and what other way to do it but reclaimation  ;)
No worries about real estate prices with the bottom limit raised to RM500k, there's an over supply at least from all the dark windows in complexes at night  :)
Welcome to Penang!

Cheers,
BB
