hi, Thermos,

I noticed that this is your first post so welcome to the site. And thanks for the advice.

You were mentioning picking things up back home. In yesterday's Straits Times newspaper I saw that SIA (Singapore Airlines) has a special promotion of S$1200 return for 2 people on a month ticket Singapore/London. Nipping back for holidays is getting cheaper.

regards, Scott

Thanks for the welcome Scott and tip about the deal with SIA. Looks good and I am actually going to London in May but longer than 1 month.
Usually I find a return ticket is a better deal when bought in UK. Last time I travelled, flying London to Bangkok (via Qatar) then Air Asia to KL was cheaper than a direct flight to KL. Not a huge saving and it did prolong the journey but it does give you an excuse (as if one were needed) to have a night or several in BKK. I also like a stop half way to get out the plane and walk around, which isnt everyones choice.
I stayed loyal to Qatar ever since they upgraded me from economy to business on the Qatar - Bangkok leg, without me asking for it. Unfortunately it hasnt happened again!!
