« on: March 04, 2009, 11:31:33 PM »
This topic is way out of Date.

Immigration did move from Putrajaya to PWTC and now it has moved back.

The location and address and telehone numbers are at : MM2H Central New Address

hi,

I've just received the following information from Joy-Stay :

Quote
This is just a quick note (as published on our webpage : http://www.joy-stay.com/NewAnnouncement.html ) to assist those who wish to deal with Immigration matters.

They are closing the MM2H counters at Putrajaya, so it is best for all applicants to visit the new Immigration office at PWTC from now on.

The new place to obtain the MM2H visa endorsement (starting 1 March 2009) would be :

Address deleted as it is out of Date

Applicants may apply for the MM2H I-Card and to get ready the following items for this application:

1) A reference for permanent address in Malaysia:
a) A copy of the House Sales & Purchase Agreement (S&P) OR
b) A copy of the Tenancy Agreement
AND
c) Telephone Bill / any relevant bills with your name and address on them.

2) Passport size photos - 2 nos. each (with WHITE background only)
3) Original Passport(s) & One set of photocopies of the passport(s)

Note:
i) Applicant must be present to verify the thumb print
ii) The validity of MM2H pass not less that one (1) year

I hope the above information is helpful to some people.

Best Regards, Joy-Stay.

I'll check the mm2h.gov.my site to see if there's any more. And we need to know where to go for renewals & extensions.

regards, Scott

Hi Scott

Thanks for the information, just to get things clear in my head, we apply for the MM2H I-Card in person at PWTC where we get visa endorsements?

Also do you know if this new card will allow us to partake in things such as competitions that ask for an IC number,
In a nutshell, do you know if holders of the MM2H I-Card be given an IC number as such?

Sorry to ask what is probably a stupid question, but I get confused over IC numbers and the restrictions to none holders etc

Thanks

Paul

hi,

Yes, for the card you apply in person at the PWTC immigration (MM2H) office.

Sorry corporateangel but I don't know about a distinct IC number. Usually the IC number for any citizen is the same number that is used on their passports.

As it's a new thing I guess it's also trial and error, so you'll need to apply for the card and explore it's potential.

Joy-Stay has confirmed that this new office (PWTC) is specifically for all MM2H matters, and is therefore the place to go for renewals and extensions.

regards, Scott

Yesterday, I was there to help my client to get his 10 year MM2H sticker for his passport. His MM2H agent who is also a property seller sold him the RM 1.2 million condo actually guaranteed him this MM2H. Lucky for him he is eligible for I wonder what he will do with his newly purchased property should his application got rejected by MM2H. They did not even bothered to receive him at the airport on his arrival let alone open his FD, do his medical and buy the compulsory insurance coverage for him. I am an insurance agent and I have to assist him on this since he bought the medical insurance from me.  I found that the Level 6 Immigration counter is purely for MM2H matters. I found the place be comfortable. But it took us the whole afternoon to get it done as their system was down in the morning. I was told by the officer that I could still do the same thing in Putrajaya but the thought of going there turned me off. To do the MM2H ID card, the applicant must be present as the card is biometric. The applicant thumb prints are needed

Looks like this guy should name and shame his agent. There seems to be a patchy performance from agents, our's arranged the trip to PJ but no help with FDs, insurance or medical. If these guys are to remain in operation there should be a minimum standard of service that clients can expect.

The move to WTC is definitely a positive, it's bad enough having to go to KL for everything but the safari to PJ was a real pain. Maybe in the future the ministry can consider a facility for MM2Hrs in Penang. After all thats is where the best people are ;)

Hey......Objection My Lord
The trouble with taking the ‘middle of the road’ position is that you get run over from both directions.

hi,

Penang, KL or holded-up along a river in Perak, folks need to read this forum or alloexpat and get a wider take on the whole MM2H.

I think that it's great news. PWTC is so much easier than the slog out to Putrajaya.

regards, Scott

There is a newer location of the Immigration MM2H Location/MM2H I-Card.
This topic has been one of the reasons I went to KL in stead of to Putrajaya.
