Renewal Conditions
« on: May 23, 2007, 02:25:19 PM »
The only recent change for renewals on the motour site has been the addition of medical insurance (but only for those with 5-year visas).

I was told by motour that the rules under which I applied will be those that will be maintained. Hence, when I applied there wasn't any "usage of 60% of FD." That's no big deal as I go in at the RM100,000 level. I also applied with the 5-year visa, so that's what I'll get on renewal.

Fair enough, let's hope that all this is sticky.

Whilst past performance is no indication of future trends, for those people that I know who applied under the silver-haired programme, or applied with the lower (RM100,000) FD amounts, renewal at the 5-year point has not been a problem.

regards, Scott

Renewal if you have a Malaysia Wife
« Reply #1 on: October 02, 2008, 11:08:24 AM »
My Buddie (married to a Malaysian lady) has just renewed with no hassle whatsoever.

Interestingly he first joined 6 years ago, and only showed proof of income (not a pension), [bank statement basically], and he was accepted way back then no problem.

I was 100% sure he would now have to set up a FD this time around....but not so.........his proof of income in excess of RM7,000 (as he is considered to be a single person.....despite local wife and son) was adequate this time around also.

Sometime things just don't follow logic....but that doesn't meant to say they won't work!! ::)

So once again ABSOLUTE proof that you can renew on exactly your original qualifying criteria! :D
The trouble with taking the ‘middle of the road’ position is that you get run over from both directions.
