Xmas & New year

We have now settled in Penang, as this will be our first Xmas in Malaysia, does anyone have any ideas or know of any resterants in penang that do Christmas tradional Lunches/Dinners.  We have not had Xmas in the Uk or had the fun of the festive seasonal buzz in the traditional sence for 8 years.  Also any ideas or dinner Dances for the new year and is it worth booking in advance?

Hi Bruce,

We are also new settlers in Penang. I understand that there is quite a Christmas tradition here, midnight mass, carole singers and all the trimmings. I dont know any specific venues but I'll see if I can come up with some info for you. In any case any MM2Hers are welcome for a Christmas drink and a mince pie at our condo.

Thanks for that Bob, and the invite sounds good.  Do you know where the midnight mass is being held? If we hear of any Resterants doing anything for the festive season, i will put it on the page.
