Thanks for a great forum. Has anyone investigated living in Malaysia vs Panama? If so, what were the factors which influenced your decision? Retirement visa to Panama does not require renewal and homes (well, a great many of them, at least) are very well constructed. A person is able to work in Panama while on a retirement visa. No tax on offshore-derived income, nor tax on property for 20 years. Medical is also very good and cost of living is low. I would be interested to hear your views.
