Hello expatriot!
An income interest from your CD Certificate can be consider as an Income. You need to show the entry of your  income in your Monthly or Quarterly Bank Statement. "Be sure" to high light the Income Interest as well as the CD Certificate amount.
I hope you are using an MM2H Agent when you submit your applications in Putrajaya. Your agent will go over your paper works and make sure everything is in order. That's why they got paid for. If in the event you are missing one or two thing (i.e. health insurance). The agent will take care of it first before submitting your applications. Therefore not to worry as long as you follow the instructions to the teeth you will be fine.
In the mean time contact your agent and tell them that you are ready to submit and would like for them  to go over your applications before final submission. This can also be done whenever you are in KL/Malaysia. Fix a date and meet with the agent. I hope you already have in mind which Agency you will be using.
You don't have to have a Malaysian Health Insurance in order to enter Malaysia as far as I can tell.

Good Luck dude!

Apologize asking for multiple directions... I think the MM2H application instructions are understood and another step of my determined direction..

Today seek directions to isolate available specific locations... choices  of retirement settlement..

I prefer first hit grounds running... after decompiling multiple locations

Travel direct to all choice locations... over several weeks...  living with real estate agents collecting information out of Malaysia hotel rooms traveling  cross country...

To be specific I am too old for 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment ownership.. Malaysia.. lot of country to travel seeking final days of final retirement..

I do not wish to relocate one more time... do not look forward to high
pressure real estate brokers... searching apartment cash price by wanted
specific interest and construction location..

I be happy locating
 50-70 square meters,
 one bath, kitchen,
 dining room,
 bedroom,
new construction or <2 year old apartment,
 corner location,
top floor of high rise building,
 ocean views,
 breeze include a small balcony...

thanks again for listening.. suggestions, directions welcome...

There was a thread going about smaller apartments/condos somewhere in the Property section here in Penang (you're checking out Penang, right?).  I know Feebee contributed.  I'll see if I can find it or maybe Feebee will be on here and can point out where to look.  Take a look in the Property section anyhow.

Best of luck Expat.  I saw you on another forum yesterday, sounds like you're going through it.  Hope you enjoy Penang and get a settled life there.

okay I've found it.  Try this....

It was under Cost of Living: rentals - my mistake.  There's some talk on the thread about smaller units and I think Feebee was researching these.

There's some talk on the thread about smaller units and I think Feebee was researching these.

I tried initially but I found it counterproductive.  The vast majority seem to be 3 bed/2 bath, so there is plenty of choice, and even these "big" ones, which would be expensive in Bkk, are relatively reasonably priced in Penang.

When you factor in the using of 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom for laundry purposes, [rather than the balcony method], they are not really as oversized as initially thought.

I shall just look for the smaller/cheaper end of the 3/2 market, and hope I can get a no-animal condo.  My first choice at the moment is Midland.
