Yep, a lot of doctors will give a visual check, take your blood pressure, check heart beat and sign the form. This form is then accepted by Immigration.

Some doctors will be nervous about signing anything unless backed by tests, studies, other supporting verifiable documentation, and, no doubt, a second opinion.

Not all doctors passed top of the class.     By definition of percentage a lot of doctors passed mid-range.    And some passed at the bottom end.   

And some were, no doubt, given the benefit of the doubt.   

For those folks with time it's a good opportunity to look around and see what's on offer.

For anybody in Penang looking for a suitable doctor.

Had to find a clinic yesterday to get the MM2H medical forms signed, found Poliklinik on Jalan Fettes opposite Island Plaza. Walked in off the street and asked the receptionist if the doctor could carry out the medical for us. 100RM (50 each for myself and wife) 5 mins later the paper work had been signed, no questions asked.

Thanks for the info Rspec.  I shall be needing same in about 8 weeks time.
I believe you are a Cove resident also and come from WA like myself.
