GROUSING ABOUT MALAYSIA

So what do Ex-Pats whinge about?  >>>   Slowness of Bureaucracy\Getting anything done or completed\Weather\Driving\dreadfful Tradesmen\Appalling Services\Prices\continuous New Legislation? etc etc......   If so, no change from when in the UK, then! 

Joking apart - what are some of the more irritating\frustrating aspects of Living in Malaysia?

  • Poor standard of hotels (compared to Thailand). There are probably good ones out there somewhere.
  • Building standards are very poor, even dangerous.
  • Roads that go from 2 lanes to one without any warning.
  • Matt Rempit.
  • Conniving Estate agents.
  • Being detained at the border for rice smuggling.

All minor stuff and I still love the place to bits

hi,

Yep, I can't wait to get back. Having recently experienced the UK, and now Portugal, I've got no grouses about Malaysia. Great place, and a plate of rice plus 3 veg doesn't cost euro 7 (RM35).
