Application approved on appeal
« on: December 09, 2007, 01:09:43 AM »
Just wanted to let others know that my application, rejected at first, was approved on appeal a few days before we arrived in Penang last night.

You may wonder what the magic trick is, but I have no idea - all my appeal consisted of was a letter from my visa agent saying how much we want to move to Malaysia - no additional documentation was submitted!

Anyway, we're here now and have enjoyed our first evening out with a delicious Indian meal at Kapitan's off Gurney Drive.

regards to all,
John

Hi John,

It's nice when a plan comes together. Seems like the timing was excellent. Congratulations.

I also was approved after initially being rejected and collected the visa last month. I was thinking of having some T-shirts printed with the slogan "MM2H REJECT". That way we can recognise each other when out and about in Penang.

Congratulations John B.  :)
We might have crossed paths in Gurney Plaza! I'm a 'mall rat'  just limited mainly to Gurney n Island Plazas and QueensBay Mall, hehe!

Hi Bob, hope you and Mrs. get to settle your stuffs and move over in the very near future  :)

Well done John.
Goes to prove that just that little extra action was worth while. It would be interesting to know why the rejection to begin with....but who cares..now you are in!

50% of applications are rejected, 50% of the rejected 50% are passed without amendment, 50% of the remaing rejections are passed after amendment, 50% of the remaing rejections are passed if the applicant complains to the ministry, the other 2 people apply for Panama.

Oh you old cynic you!

Hello John B,
Congratulations on getting your application approved. As the old saying goes, "if at first you don't succeed... appeal to the national ego"  :)
