MM2H A/P status still pending.

Rang the office to enquire my status :  the committee met on 13th Jan and started at MM2H ref No 10854 and finished at 10963.  Initially she had no idea when the next meeting will be but after much persuasion returned to say maybe 31st of Jan. ( Normally they meet on a Friday) and to wait 5 days  after the meeting to check my status.

Fingers cross I should get an answer in 2weeks time...here's hoping!!!!

I sent application materials on Jan.21. and got the acception message from the post office. but i donot get any contact from the MM2H office till today Jan. 31. it is normal?

My application was made on 23rd November last year and approved at a meeting on 1st Feb - my number 11017, so I am in Bangkok now waiting for the approval letter.
I am writing to warn you all about the woman who answers the MM2H phone (03 8891 7434) in the early mornings (about the only time one can get a reply) - she has given me contradictory info on almost every call - 'yes, the meeting was last week, you can collect letter later this week' - this, 10 days BEFORE the actual meeting. 'Sorry, we have not had the meeting yet' - this 4 days AFTER the meeting. When I said I had already been told I was approved, she said 'Give me your number again... oh yes, that was discussed and approved on 1st Feb' Has the letter been sent to Bkk yet? 'Oh, I don't deal with that, speak to Rohana on 03 8891 7454'. So what exactly do you deal with dear? - except I held my tongue...
They say that time in Malaysia is like their major export - rubber.

the last part is true, immigration are the people to call 00603 88917 454 ( immigration dept), not MM2H, for the letter

Following on Maxwellreid's reply, immigration are not comfortable with scanning the approval letter as they would prefer it to be collected however after much persuasion they finally agreed.  Hurray!!!

Bear in mind that the reply will initially be:  come and collect it or we will post it (sorry but I don 't trust the post ), can't scan it.  Good luck.

Not sure what I did to justify it, but I managed to get the MM2H Centre to send me a certified copy of the original via post, while my original MM2H Letter of Conditional Acceptance sits on file at Putrajaya. Not sure what I have done to deserve this beneficence, but I'm buggered if I can tell the difference between the one I have an a notional 'original'.
