You are right Breathless it wasn't cheap, but from a first hand experience I can say the food was more then reasonable. But maybe the company of good friends blurred my view :).

I had heard it get good raps from ex raaf types who like a curry and a beer but after eating elsewhere for cheap cheap the prices put me off a bit.

I find the service at Sri Ananda Bawan here in Tanjung Bunguh unattentive to put it mildly. Food is OK lah IMHO.

I agree, last time at both restaurants wasn't as good as previously

The south Indian restaurant in the same street as Ingolfs I like better.

Thanks for the tip

The best Indian food so far is home cooked by my Indian friends.

I have to say my indian feeds back here in Oz are pretty bloody good as well, but allas, I dont have that tandoor oven to get the breads and chicken just right.

Well, 3 years in Malaysia and i Guess we have eaten in a good mix of Restaurants and all varieties of their foods they offer. Including the oriental that has been spoke of.

My sum up is, if you go to a Nasi Kandar and the table is dirty, the foods good and  the place is well eaten in  ;) and i love the Nescafe, plus the price!  When we hit the better, errr sorry, or should i say "pricier ones", i use my age and get the seniors prices,  eat as much as we can and tell ourselves "that was cheap",  we'll have to do that again.   We love GENTING, there is a fantastic Buffet Restaurant there over looking the outside park, Their range of foods are Western, Indian, Malay and Vegetarian, with a desert counter to pile on the calories :'(n at a price of 21.30 for Seniors. (Low Season, slightly more Mid).

We have found from time to time, that we enjoy a particular restaurant and then for some reason the food don't seem as good as it has been, we reckon it's probably staff changing jobs ~38~
