Medical Report for MM2H?
« on: June 25, 2011, 02:17:14 AM »
I need to know how much is the standard fee for the "Medical Report Of Applicant Form RB I / RB II" for the first time MM2H applicant and his dependents?  What type of test / checking is done by the  Doctor?

We paid MYR 50 each 3 years ago. Test done: Blood pressure and pulse taken. Is basically a formality.

I agree with Steph.
Be careful which clinic you choose...there are some that will attempt to give you the full medical as per immigrant workers...it is not required for MM2H.

A simple test to see if you are still alive is what is required and costs around MYR50-70.

Hi Smartcard,
Those simple tests cost MYR 50-70 as mentioned by Davita. These are the two Clinics that were mentioned by someone in this forum not too long ago.
Klinik SALMA ( I think this one is close by the PWTC) tel 03-2693 4008. Call first before you go.
And the second one is KLINIK MEDIVIRON (Bangsar Area) 46 Jalan Telawi , Tel. 03-2282 9815.

I hope this will help. Good Luck! O0

I am planning to use here when I return shortly: Kelinik Panir, Suite AG-3 Ground Floor, Plaza Pekeliling, No. 2 Jln Tun Razak, 50400 KL, Tel. 40410312.

It seems some will do a blood and urine test and that some dispense with even this.  The above falls into the later category it seems.  From a post by Azka.  It does seem some way from PWTC so I may just see how it goes on the day and stick with Selma, next door to PWTC.

hi,

For MM2H purposes no tests are required.

The doctor looks at you, looks at the form, and signs & stamps it.

You can wander around and debate with the doctor what is included, how much it costs etc. Or you can just pay up and get it done.

I guess it depends on how you feel and other things to do etc.

I would imagine that 95% of clinics have no idea about MM2H, some vague understanding maybe, but they know about the RM150 Tests for Immigration Work Permits of Foreign Workers. (as Davita points out)

That was my experience when I was asking around.

I showed the Clinic the form, told them that no tests were required, and, "yes, it's for Immigration but it's MM2H so no need for blood tests, or TB." They charged RM30, but it wasn't KL/Penang.

Yep, that's what I gathered.  Picking up from couple of threads it does seem the PWTC one does the tests as part of the default process, maybe it's changed now. No big deal either way.  Plan to just see how it goes and and how I'm off for time and/or where I happen to be.

hi,

The other thing is to note that there are 2 forms. RB1 & RB11.

RB1 : When you make the Application.
Quote
Application Through an Agent Item 9
Direct application Item 8

8. Self declaration on your/dependents health conditions - Form can be downloaded from MM2H website :

This is free.

RB11 : When you Collect the Visa.
Quote
STEP 4 : APPLICANT COMES TO MALAYSIA
Remaining Steps:  (After receiving the Conditional Approval letter )
11.  Open the required Fixed Deposit account in any bank  in Malaysia for one-year period on an auto renewal basis **
12.  Purchase Medical Insurance in any insurance company in Malaysia /summit Medical Insurance that is applicable in Malaysia.
13. Obtain medical report from any private hospital or registered clinic in Malaysia

This is as above.

Kelinik Panir is not very far at all: about half a km or so from PWTC (on the other side of Jln Ipoh, across from the Dynasty and Grand Pacific Hotels). A 15 min walk, perhaps. Other Tel Nos: 40410246, and the appointments secretary 010-8937389.

Good luck.
