On my way
« on: June 08, 2010, 07:22:53 PM »
I'm currently sat in the bar at Gatwick airport, supping a pint of Guiness. At 14:25 UK time I leave the UK for good and start my new life in Malaysia. Hope to meet up with everyone, until then back to the Guiness!  :D

Safe journey, friend. A man who enjoys a pint of plain is a welcome addition to any company!   O0

Yep you got it right, Emirates all the way. My transfer gate in Dubai is right next to the Irish Pub. It doesn't get any better than this O0

I might be a bit late for this, but if you're still transitting Dubai go check out the Mahaba Lounge (if it's still there).  We discovered if you go in there and flash an Amex card (they just need to view it, don't charge anything) they welcome you in with free eats and drinks - great if you've got a long stopover.  Not been through Dubai for a long while, so not sure if it's still there.

Happy Landings !!

Arrived safe and sound yesterday to black clouds and heavy rain. Could have stayed at home and got that :'( Woke up this morning and spent an hour swimming in the pool and spent the rest of the day getting to know the area. I am staying at the Sri Acappello Apartments in Shah Alam. It is close to a big football stadium which should be interesting when there is a match.

Anyone local and fancy a beer just drop me a note. (Actually don't have to be local. Always prepared to travel for a beer  O0)
