I was wondering has by any chance a forum member stayed in a good, clean hotel in downtown Vancouver recently that they can recommend?

Hi Sukhi,

Try looking up 910 Beach Avenue Apartment Hotel. It's value for money, not fancy and in a very nice part of Vanc. Used to be The Meridian at 910 Beach.
Depends what you mean by good. It's clean, convenient, easy access to Granville Island, Stanley Park,...(check reviews at trip advisor) and has stove, dishwasher etc. The breakfast is simple and mainly cereals, rolls, coffee/tea - nothing fancy. No bell boy's service ;)

Sukhi

I am currently in downtown Vancouver, living on my boat in a marina in Yaletown, on False Creek.

There are literally dozens ++ of hotels in the downtown area of Vancouver. Remember, the winter Olympics was held here only 2+ months ago.

Vancouver is a walkabout city and public transport is easy. Parking a car is more difficult than skateboarding or cycling around. Yes...every street corner has rental bike stores.

I suggest you prioritize. Listing a requirement plan, budget and dates of visit will narrow your search to your personal requirement.

Once you have identified anything, I would be happy to explore for you and post my recommendations. I would suggest you eliminate anything located in East downtown or E Hastings Street, or even Chinatown...they will be cheap but an evening strolling in that area will indicate why...unless that's your THANNGG. ~2~

If somethings are personal then please PM me otherwise I prefer to stay on topic as any advice may assist others.

Sukhi,

Go to www.wotif.com , click on Canada & Downtown, there is a map and full details on each hotel with pricing in Canadian dollars, or there is a currency converter to whatever you want. Enjoy.
