Proposed New my2home Forms 04/5/2007

New my2home Forms

At present my2home applications are made using a general social visit pass form from Immigration. This form (IM12) has sections on it, such as details of sponsor (and personal bond) which currently the applicant leaves blank as they do not apply to my2home.

The newspapers reported yesterday that the Deputy Tourism Minister had said that the Immigration Department had agreed that his ministry should provide proper forms for the my2home programme.

The Deputy Minister said, “The forms by the department are not suitable for the purpose as strictly they are for social visit passes. Therefore a decision was made that the ministry have proper forms to ensure a smoother process of the programme. By having our own forms it will be easier for us to monitor the application process.”

Unfortunately this news report didn’t have the Deputy Minister giving any details of the timing of the change.

regards,
Scott

hi,
I emailed Motour asking when the new forms would be introduced. Received a reply on 13th May 2007. It said somewhat cryptically that the new forms would "not be introduced before the end of the month."

regards,
Scott
