Hi BB

Thanks for the tip. I must say I am partial to the roasted chook. What about the bean sprouts and the innards?  :P

Love the innards although it is disgusting for Mr Cupert. Who cares, eh! It is my mouth and stomach.  ;)

This place does not have the bean sprouts but the chicken comes with fresh cucumber slices.
Have seen people ordering the innards and must be good, though I've not tried... as I'm not one for organs & intestines hehe!!  but I'll eat the chicken feet at dim sum places  :P  ~44~

Th
How far is Clover Hall or Mango Tree Place to GT cbd? Which is more central?

They are both a bit out of the centre in sidestreets of Burma street:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en-GB&q=clove%20hall%20penang&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_en-GBMY345MY345&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

Clove hall is in Jalan Clove Hall, Mango place is in Jalan Phuah Hin Leong.

BB, I lost my reply and has to start all over again.  >:(

I was saying that you are game to try chicken feet as I have found it to be too cartilaginous whereas liver and intestines is more my thing. This shop in Campbell Street also served a mean chicken curry. I guess the proprietor has made his dosh and moved on. Darn!

Stuurman

Yup! Thanks for the links. I checked google map and would prefer the address of either place to be more central. Back to the drawing board. I guess as a last resort the E&O never fails.

Does anyone here know of which internet website they have used that offer a great discount for E&O?  :)

I have tried the usual expedia, agoda, hotel club, rates to go, etc. Was hoping you would know of a local one which I have not heard of.

What about this one:
http://www.marimari.com/hotel/malaysia/penang.html

Maybe Cititel or the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion are an option.

Hi Stuurman

I really like the look of Cititel, pity that it hasn't got a pool but not to worry. For the asking price, it is ok without the pool.

Mr Cupert like Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion but the downside for me is that there is no air conditioning. For me, that is a must. Hey! I like Marimari.com. It offers the best price I have seen for E&O.

Thanks again for your help. Will let you know which way I go.

Cheers

Cupert

I think the rooms in the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion all have aircon (you can't live without it IMO):
All rooms are fully air-conditioned (or ceiling fans if you wish) and come with an en-suite bathroom and personal valet. Common facilities include two archive rooms, a reading room, a TV room, an alfresco breakfast area in the courtyard, landscaped gardens, private car-parking and 24-hour security.

Cititel has a pool but from the look on the pictures's it's indoor.

I couldn't agree more  :) Definitely must have air con and I don't care that I am a wuss or deemed one by my octogenarian mother-in-law.  ;)

Well, I have booked and it is the E&O, You Beaut!

Found a website that is better than marimari. It is traveleasy.com.au. And, it is a fair dinkum Aussie site too. Phew! Not that we Aussies are incorrumptible LOL! Far from it but it is one of those things, I guess.

Thanks sturrman, BB and Papaya for your input.

Penang, here I come in mid April!
