Yup, that's what we're all wondering, Tracelle.

We had a theory that it was because we are on MM2H and our passports have a "chip" in there with presumably some kind of bio-data, though not a fingerprint for sure.  We've never been asked for fingerprints.  But now the 2-tab green stickers are getting rather random... so no idea.

Yes they seem to have eased their requirements on white cards, the last few times flying into Penang not asked for white card, although they required it in August.  ???

Yesterday we drove over through Tuas 2nd link, & in the past they’ve always required the white card, but yesterday we were told not required any more.   :D

Just arrived Penang from Jakarta this morning, Air Asia did not have any forms...went to the normal wicket for Foreigners and said we have MM2H. The Immigration officer didn't blink and stamped our passport for entry till the expiry of our visa.

Flew into KLIA on 10th Nov and went through the MM2H/Diplomatic line. Fingerprints required but no landing card needed.

hi,

Just arrived in Penang on a Jetstar flight from Singapore.

On board Jetstar apologised for not having any white cards.

So at Penang airport I gave the card counter a miss and went to the Malaysian Passports line. I said, "Malaysian My Second Home" and wasn't asked for a white card.

Just like patonboy it was fingerprint scan, stamp, and voila.

On my air Asia flight back in to kl yesterday the steward announced that landing cards are no long required for anyone arriving in Malaysia.

Hard to keep up with the changes ... Nothing new there then.

I have been advised by the Customs Official on the last two occasions, that MM2H Long Term Visa holders do not need to fill in the white landing card.
This was also the case for my wife on her entry into Malaysia in mid-December.
They were quite clear that Long Term Visa holders do not need to fill in the card.

Cheers & Beers,

We flew in on Emirates yesterday to KL and were not even offered landing cards. On asking we were told that cards are not needed at all.   :)

I think it was about November last year they stopped requiring them, we did a road trip then & they said not needed, & again flew in end December they did not issue them on the plane.

Flew into Pg yesterday from Phuket. Joined the Malaysian Passport queue. No landing card required. They did scan fingerprints though.

I flew into Penang yesterday from Singapore.  I went through the Foreign Passport desk as it was empty.... and I didn't get fingerprinted.  The previous time I did get fingerprinted.  No consistency.

I imaging S'Pore processes passengers faster the Phuket.  I forgot how slow Thai airports are.  Ages, to check in, even longer to clear Immigration (out and in) and the DF!!!  10 minutes to buy, 40 minutes to queue  :'(
