Landing Card Not Needed for MM2H
« on: February 24, 2010, 10:42:40 PM »
Just arrived back from USA, and was told at KLIA immigration that I shouldn't have bothered to fill in the white immigration form...it's no longer needed!

I'm MM2H on a UK passport.

hi, VanMan,

That's good. I'll try the no-white card at JB when I go down to Singapore.

Hi all.

Last March when we came in through KLIA we were also told not to fill in the white card.

When we came back in November we tried out the "new ruling" it worked.

Hi all,

When I arrived at KLIA last Decembre I did not have to fil-up the immigration card and could use the "Permanent Resident" counter at the custom.

Nice day to all of you,

Mary

When I came back from Medan to Penang last night I needed te fill in a arrival card.
I pointed out that I was in the MM2H program but that didn't matter, according to
the guy behind the desk I still needed the arrival card.

JB too huh?  Scott was going to post his experience this week transiting through JB to Singapore.  Did you need a card Scott?

Personally I find filling in the card not to be a big deal, gives me something to do on the plane. :)

hi, papaya,

The immigration officer at JB made a point of collecting the old card. I asked him if I would need to fill in a card for the return journey. No reply, he probably didn't hear and there was a queue of folks behind me so I left it.

I'll find out on the way back in.

When I had an I-Kad (the ID card for those on MM2H), I didn't need to fill in a landing card - whether at KL or Penang.

I replaced my passport last November but don't have an I-Kad to go with it because the machine is out of action. That means having to complete a landing card again. When I returned from my latest trip on Saturday, the passport official at KLIA commented on my MM2H visa (which is now valid until 2020) but didn't suggest that I could dispense with the landing card.
