Thanks for the link. I read in the Sun a couple of days ago about Penang asking the Federal Government what's happened to the promised RM30 million grant for heritage conservation as required as part of the listing as a World Heritage Site. It hasn't been paid.

Seems that Malacca has received it's grant. Malacca was listed as a WHS at the same time as Penang. I guess Malacca getting it and Penang not getting it is a something to do with red tape, and when applications were submitted, and allocation etc. etc. I can't think that it's because Malacca is UMNO and Penang is DAP.

Well, a lot of the people I speak here in Penang think otherwise, hope they are wrong.

Then I hope Penang can receive international assistance. How about UNESCO or EU fund?  :D :D
